Terms & Conditions – Bridal Alterations

1) When should I book an appointment?

Generally, 10 -12 weeks prior to your wedding

2) Can I get a quotation over the phone sight unseen?

We no longer offer any over the phone quotations, due to the large variety in styles and fabrics which makes it difficult to price. Every dress is unique and needs to be assessed individually.

3) Are the consultations free?

Due to the time consultations take to address personal needs we are no longer offer free consultations.

4) What is the cost of for consultations?

There is a $50 consultation fee for a 45 minute assessment. This fee is non-refundable and non-redeemable. Payable prior via Bank transfer to secure booking.

5) Why do you charge a fee?

A fee is charged based on being able to advise you of the best alteration you will need whilst keeping costs to a minimum. This is back with 33 years’ experience. Wedding dresses are designed and made with more complicated patterns. Modifications and manipulations of these dresses require high level of pattern and design knowledge along with expertise in sewing and the latest machinery required to do the alterations.

6) What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

If cancellation is made prior to 48 hours then another rescheduled appointment will be made. If cancellation is within 48 hours then consultation fee is Non-refundable and a new appointment made with additional $50 fee to secure booking.

7) What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You will need the shoes you will be wearing on the day, along with any lingerie you will be wearing.

8) What happens if I’m running late?

Lateness will use your allocated booking time hence shortening the time for the consultation.

9) What happens if I forget to bring my shoes to my appointment?

Appointment will be terminated as it is a requirement to bring items along, thus requiring another appointment with a further $50 rescheduling fee.

10) Can I bring friends and family along?

It is recommended to limit to 1-2 people, due to space restrictions

11) Can you do my alterations urgently as my wedding date changed to an earlier time?

Depending on the current workload, urgent repairs and alterations can be done. This will incur a higher fee.

12) How do I make an appointment?

No pricing will be given over the phone or via photos.

13) How long does the appointment take?

Bridal appointments are allocated 45 minutes for assessment and quotation. Should you decide to go ahead with quotation, some alterations this may occur within this time frame or another appointment will need to be booked which will not incur additional fees.

14) How long do the alterations take?

Generally, turnaround time is within 2 weeks. Whilst this cannot be guaranteed as current workload and complexity of your dress will determine time frame. An estimated time will be given in the initial consultation.

15) How can I make payment for my alteration?
Eftpos is available. A 1.1% surcharge will apply to all eftpos transactions.
Bank transfer, Pay-ID or Cash
All amounts payable to be finalized on pick up.

All dresses need to be collected within 2 weeks of completion,
otherwise, a storage fee of $10 per day will apply beyond 2 weeks of your notification.

Trading Hours are
Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
Saturday – 9am – 1pm

All calls and messages outside of business hours will be responded to on the next business day
